Emmaus Marriage Conference

THE CHRISTWARD MARRIAGE CONFERENCE

Do you desire to experience more of the purpose and joy that God intended for your marriage? If so, the Christward Marriage Conference will be worth your time.
Shortly before Paul addresses marriage in Ephesians 5, he tells us in Ephesians 4:15 that “…speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.” . The “every way” Paul mentions includes every aspect of our roles as husbands and wives. Christ is both the giver of marriage and the goal of marriage. Which means that the fulness of joy and meaning that God intended for marriage is directly related to the degree that we live out a “Christward” marriage. Join us as we look at God’s purpose for marriage in Ephesians 5 and discover how that comes to bear in every day life.

*Lunch will be provided

*No Cost to attend

  • Childcare is provided and we do ask for a $10 donation per child to help cover costs.

Saturday, June 8, 2019, 9:00am -2:30pm

Location: Emmaus Church, Bethany Campus

*For married and singles who desire to grow in their understanding of marriage

Ash Wednesday Gathering
Mar

6:00 AM06:00

Ash Wednesday Gathering

Begun in the 6th century, Lent marks 40 days of reflection on Jesus’ death, culminating in His resurrection on Easter morning. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, the church reflects upon man’s mortality brought about by sin and the need for a Savior who would die to atone for sin. This deepens our awareness of our sin, preparing our hearts for the good news of Jesus' work on the cross. As Puritan pastor Richard Sibbes once said, “Until sin be bitter, Christ cannot be sweet”. From the depths of our sin, Lent helps us to grasp the extent of God’s grace (Romans 8:37–39); for the Easter resurrection is no news if we are not dead. But if we awaken to the barrenness of our souls, the resurrection is the greatest news imaginable. Lent is meant for just that, to awaken thankfulness within us for Christ.

So plan to join us on Ash Wednesday for this special 45 min Gathering.
