It can be difficult to discern the priorities, beliefs, and direction of a church when visiting. Therefore, we regularly host two introductory meetings where you can get in-depth information and have your questions answered by our leadership.
The first, Emmaus Intros, is a brief 25-minute Info meeting offered once a month after the Sunday Gathering.
The second, Emmaus Basics, is a lengthier 2 hour class offered once a quarter.

WHAT ARE GOSPEL COMMUNITY GROUPS?
If you want to know God more truly and experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ more richly, then Gospel Communities are designed for you.
Gospel Communities are relational hubs that cultivate the life of Jesus by growing in the truth of Jesus and following the way of Jesus with others. God has made it clear that He has not left us to ourselves in our pursuit of growth in the gospel—He has given us a church community.
One of the ways Emmaus lives out their mission as a church—to join God in His work of making all things new through the Person and Work of Jesus Christ—is to cultivate communities of transformed disciples who live to know God and make Him known.
Community Groups are for everyone! Kids, no kids. Single, dating, engaged, married. Every age, every demographic. There are no barriers, just join, engage, and be encouraged.
WHY JOIN A GOSPEL COMMUNITY GROUP?
While Sunday mornings at Emmaus are amazing, it’s not always easy to catch up with others or share what God is stirring in your heart. Gospel Communities allow that relaxed, Bible-anchored, Holy Spirit-driven conversation and fellowship that's sometimes difficult on a Sunday.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT A GOSPEL COMMUNITY GROUP
All Gospel Community Groups are oriented around the Gospel Rhythms of Study, Serve, Share, Seek. Some weeks the time will focus on Studying God’s Word so you might know the truth of Jesus Christ. Other weeks your group may come together to Serve either someone in your group or someone outside the group which God has put on your group’s heart. Many times groups will share a meal, a game night, or a night on the town as a way of providing a context to invite others in and Share the Gospel. Finally, groups are encouraged to Seek the face of God in prayer, contending for the Spirit-driven life of Christ in one another’s lives.
Gospel Community Groups meet either weekly, or twice monthly, with most taking off at least one week a month. The average size of an Emmaus Gospel Community Group is 10-18 people.
HOW DO I JOIN A GOSPEL COMMUNITY GROUP?
Gospel Community Groups are available either as a one-year commitment or as a 12 week commitment, launching every Fall and Winter. The Winter Session for GCs will begin the week of January 27th.
During the build-up to the launch of our Groups, you’ll have a chance to meet group leaders in your area. We currently have multiple Gospel Communities meeting in homes in Redlands, Loma Linda, San Bernardino, and Calimesa/Yucaipa. To find and join a group, either personally connect with a group leader/member or click below to be connected with a group near you.
WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GOSPEL COMMUNITY BEFORE JOINING A GROUP?
If you are a brand new Christian or just want to learn more about the basics of Gospel Community before jumping into a Group, we offer a 12 week Group led by our Pastors that works through The Gospel Centered Community, shares meals and life together, and prepares you to make a fully informed commitment to a Gospel Community.
